  • Combination Acquire/Exploit and Drilling Strategy
  • Spent $55MM Through the Drill Bit between January 2005 and March 2006
  • Drilled Total of 45 Wells
  • Achieved Production of 14 MMcfed
  • Proved Reserves of 110 Bcfe
  • Approximately 26,000 net (15,000 Cotton Valley acres)
  • Sold Substantially All of the Assets of Company to Forest Oil for $223 MM in March 2006


Chalker II History

East Texas

  • Acquired 11,000 acres & 4.5 MMcfepd through acquisition
  • Leased additional 13,000 acres
  • Drilled & completed 55 wells in 15 months (4 rigs)
  • Increased rate to 23 MMcfepd
  • Proved Reserves increased to 294 Bcfe
  • Exited December 2007 - ~4.0x ROI on $40 MM equity investment
  • Sold 2,000-acre package in February 2008 for $8.8 MM
Ft. Trinidad - Buda Play

  • Acquired 17,000 acres in 6 months in three separate transactions; 6 continuous miles along trend
  • Sold down to 50% operated position in May 2007
  • Drilled horizontal well; IP'd @ 1,000+ Bopd in November 2007
  • Sold company position to PetroQuest Energy for $20 MM

North Texas

  • Acquired 800 Mcfed and 10,000 acres in three separate transactions starting December 2006; included a management team
  • Sold 2,000 acre position with Barnett rights for $2.25 MM
  • Drilled 19 new wells & re-entered 2 wells
  • Current rate at 4 MMcfepd with 22 Bcfe of proved reserves
  • Acquired 500 acres in Palo Pinto in August 2008
  • Acquired 5,000 acres in Palo Pinto/Young in September 2009
